Fall Fashion 2017

Ahh fall time ~ when summer slows down and flannels come out. The city streets are full of North Face jackets, pumpkin spice lattes keeping hands warm, and light drizzling rain. 

Growing up in Seattle, the return to fall weather meant breaking out the boots and warm sweatshirts. By early October, we are already back into full swing of the Seattle rain and chilly crisp air. This season, I decided to treat myself to some new items and really get into the #fallvibes here in the emerald city.  My first pick was a velvet American Eagle bodysuit in a dark denim blue color.  Paired with a beanie and some black jeans, you have the perfect on-trend fall look. Velvet is incredibly popular at the moment and I’ve been loving it!

Next:  Cropped Sweatshirts. Ugh I LOVE a good croptop. I pretty much live in them all summer long with some high waisted shorts and sandals. As fall time came around the corner, I kept seeing the cropped sweatshirt trend all over the internet and in stores, so I knew I had to pick some up. They are the perfect top for this weather limbo we have as the days start getting chillier. I went a little overboard and picked up quite a few from places such as H&M, Forever21, Brandy Melville and Victoria’s Secret PINK. Paired with some leggings and either hightop sneakers or combat boots, you have the perfect sporty and comfy fall outfit. 

And lastly, BOOTS of course!! You cannot go wrong with a good pair of boots. Fall is the epitome of boot season and getting cozy and warm with your footwear. These boots pictured below from Nasty Gal are incredibly cute and cozy and just what I was looking for. As October came around the corner, I had been wanting to try some Doc Martens, but as I was shopping an incredible 50% off sale on NastyGal.com, I saw these boots and they were everything I was looking for.  Grungy, girly, patent leather, black, and chunky. They have a tall sole and make me about 6 feet tall lol, but I feel amazing in them. Such a great statement shoe for fall, and with the right balance of grungy and girly with the ribbon laces. Nasty Gal, you’ve done it again!

Another pair of boots that I’ve been loving are my black heeled booties. They are lace-up, suede, and literally go with EVERY outfit. Girly enough to wear with a fancier outfit, and casual enough to wear in the streets for a dressed-up day look. They really do add that little something extra to an outfit and perfectly tie things together. I’m a big believer in the power of a good shoe, and how it can change an entire outfit and these do just the trick.
